My boyfriend always verbally abuse me and makes me cry. If I try to tell him how hurt I was, he says to me he loves me and can't hurt me but always abuse me. Why?

Accept the fact your boyfriend doesn't love you. Your boyfriend is abusive and doesn't have the capacity to love. He says he loves you because it's easier for him to say it by words than to prove it by actions.

Your boyfriend doesn't care about your feelings; he gets angry because he can't control his emotions when something doesn't go his way. He doesn't even understand that you are going through pain. When you cry, he manages the situation by saying he loves you.

Where there is abuse, there is no love. You can't be with a person who abuses. You have to leave him without a second thought. Block him. Focus on moving on and healing. Getting over abusive relationships will take time.

How did you cope when someone you love, dealing with hyper-independence and trauma, felt they needed space to heal alone? Were you able to support them without overstepping, and did you eventually reconnect? How did that journey unfold?
